Okay, here we go.

On 2nd January, we uploaded our latest video, titled Guests 2.

Guests 2 is significant to the both of us, because it’s the next installation of a video that we released a full 10 years ago. but It’s not merely a sequel – the process and concept of Guests 2 recreates the 2014 original by Dzhano Mebonia, a legendary Russian player, whose video work is globally acclaimed.

It would take ages to describe why Dzhano was so popular in Russia and around the world. We just recommend you to watch a couple of his videos. Even today, years later, they remain fresh and fully represent his talent.

Let’s go back in time. It’s December 2013. We’re hanging out for a bit, and the Russian National Contest has just ended, and in conversation We decided to collaborate on a video. 

We decide to give Dzhano a ring to ask if he’d be willing to help us on the shoot. Crazily enough, he said, “Yeah, sure. How about this weekend?” 

What happened later is pure magic.

Dzhano filmed, edited, and created the music for this video by himself.

Here’s the first installation of Guests.

Fast forward to 2023. It’s late November, and we’re just hanging out, again. The conversation takes a nostalgic turn and we realize it’s nearly 10 years since Guests was first released, and we immediately think about making a sequel.

We contact Dzhano the next day. Dzhano hadn’t filmed anything since our last collaboration, but the idea of Guests 2 inspired him and we decided to take a shot at it.

Putting this video together felt great. We were hanging out, fooling around like in the good old days. It felt so natural and relaxed. We absolutely loved the process.

And the result – it’s just how we envisioned it.
