013

it’s the end of a chapter.

at the turn of the year, we’ll be leaving london and moving back home to singapore. we’ll be based there for the foreseeable future, and will continue operations from there beginning mid-january.

our time in europe has been amazing. we moved to london late last year, and kickstarted one of the most fulfilling seasons of our still-fledgling journey.

we made our first plastic, experimented with new materials and constructions, ran two trick contests that produced some of the most creative and artistic tricks and videos we’ve seen in a long time, and shipped enough packages to be on a how-is-family? basis with our local postmen.

for the first time, we also ran prototype-feedback sessions with many of you, our community. incorporating your thoughts and sensibilities on style, playfeel and design direction was something we loved doing, and we’ll definitely have more of that in 2023. it’s also been an absolute pleasure and honour getting to know many of you on such personal levels as well. the invitation to pop by our inboxes to say hello is always, always open to you — we’d love to get to know you more.

we also released six designs we’re incredibly proud of. it’s a wild thing to be able to create something like the fruitloop, a ball of pure fun, and then the infinitely more serious and optimised design in the aria. we’re grateful for the opportunity to continually tinker, iterate, and make cool things, and we hope the designs we put out this year continue to bring you joy — whether they’re boppy, floaty fun ones, or those meant for serious technical play.

it’s been such a full year.

yet amongst these, one of our biggest highlights was establishing our team. it’s difficult to find people who have a unique vision, artistic and stylistic integrity, contribute to the yoyo community in original and creative ways… and are also just really good human beings. we’ve been so grateful to find such people in evgeniy and coleman.

it’s tempting to rattle off what they’ve achieved and produced over the year, but perhaps the more fitting thing would be to just say how proud we are to call them friends, and such a core part of atmos projects and what we do.

we’ve had a sneak peek at things they’re working on for 2023, and we’re calling it here first — you absolutely want to watch this space.

unavoidably, as a small company, moving halfway across the world means we will enter a period of transition. early 2023 will be a time of adjustment, so we won’t be putting things out as we would normally for a bit, but we will still be here if you need us — please feel free to drop us a message whenever.

regarding our store and shipping, here’s what you can expect:

  • we will be receiving orders in london until 22nd december, 4pm est; all orders placed by then will be shipped by 23rd December latest.

  • fedex usually delivers to most destinations in 2-3 days, so if you were hoping to pick something up for the holidays, this would be a good time.

  • all orders that come in after will be shipped from singapore starting early january. full details here.

we’ll get back into the full swing of things by february. we have lots brewing in the background; new prototypes and designs, a remastering of some old favourites, streamlining our designs into three distinct product lines, and also, projects headed by evgeniy, coleman and our team that we think will make some waves.

2023 is going to be special.

it’s been a crazy ride, and we’re grateful we got to spend it in such a wonderful part of the world.

thank you for being such an important part of our journey. we’re so excited for what’s to come.

love,

team atmos
